Course Overview

In this comprehensive CPR course, you’ll learn the vital techniques needed to respond effectively to cardiac emergencies. This training aligns with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines and is designed specifically for the Tarneit community, ensuring you get relevant and immediate application skills.

Key Skills You Will Gain:

  • Automated External Defibrillator (AED) Use: Master the use of an AED, an essential tool in cardiac emergencies, to provide necessary life support in critical moments.

Course Delivery

This course can be delivered/assessed in the workplace or at facility organised by the training provider.

Course durations can vary for multiple reasons, so the durations below are the minimum possible amount.

  • Refresher Face to Face contact time of at least 1 Hour 30 Mins
  • Blended Face to Face contact time of at least 1 Hour 30 Mins
  • Face-to-Face Face to Face contact time of at least 2 Hours
  • Online with face-to-face assessment Face to Face contact time of at least 20 Mins

Participants must have the physical capacity to perform the practical demonstrations, such as 2 minutes of uninterrupted CPR on the floor and performing rescue breathing techniques on manikins.  

Online study:  Students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic devices with access to the internet to complete the online/ pre-course studies.

Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical assessment tasks.

This certificate has an industry recommended renewal period of 12 months
